Finding Serenity in Sobriety

Welcome to my blog. I am glad to have you here and hope to share some of my thoughts and ideas with you. I have decided to add a blog to this website because I have received many questions about my work and my debut book that deserve more than a quick answer, email, or DM.

I also have a passion for learning and a love of research. I attend as many professional conferences as I can. I want to share the information I have gained with you as quickly as possible rather than putting it into my next book. For instance, I recently attended the Alabama School for Drug and Alcohol Studies in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. While there, I attended an excellent workshop on how to adapt Maslow’s hierarchy of needs to working with adults who have experienced childhood trauma.  (More about this topic later).

I must say that these thoughts are my opinions and views and are not meant as a substitute for therapy or counseling. I plan to make an entry every week. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do writing them. Please email me with any comments, ideas, or topics that you would like to see addressed.
