Raw Thoughts on Gambling Addiction -

I just returned from an addictions conference where I learned a lot about the concerning rise in gambling addiction, an issue that’s growing faster than many of us realize. What stood out most was how severely under-resourced this treatment area is, especially as the landscape quickly shifts with online gambling access. Young adults aged 18–25 and women are now the fastest-growing groups affected, yet support services remain limited, and stigma remains high. It’s clear we need more education, prevention efforts, and compassionate care models tailored to these groups. This isn’t just a moral issue; it’s a public health crisis unfolding.

If you’ve had a slip in your recovery, consider telling your loved ones—especially if they’re part of your support system. Honesty fosters trust and reduces shame.
